Ready, Set, Spring

We had the first day of Spring (although it doesn't feel like it quite yet). But I'm hopeful that it is right around the corner. In preparation for the warmer weather, Ready, Set, Spring is ready.! This book fits into the Ready, Set series. There are two versions. A manipulative version and an easy assembly version.

The manipulative version includes a blank template to allow your child to fill in the blanks. You can then copy the story and send it home for review. The manipulative version also requires more Velcro, laminating and scissor skills.

The easy assembly version does not have the blank story template. It also requires less time for overall assembly.

For some visual cues on how to assemble the books, take a look at my Ready, Set Christmas post. I was able to take some pictures of the final product.

Easter Bingo

I created another bingo activity for the upcoming Easter holiday. This activity includes 6 different bingo cards and corresponding bingo chips. Use this as a reinforcement activity while working on speech or language goals. It can also be used to target seasonal vocabulary.

Where's the Ladybug?

Again, while the template is set, here is a spring themed activity for targeting prepositions. This activity follows the same formula as "Where's the Bunny" and "Pot of Gold Prepositions". It has been pretty warm here in Colorado over the past few days (although I hear we are in for some snow later this week). However, I feel that spring is in the air. I suppose that's what inspired "Where's the Ladybug". Help the ladybug escape from the net by using the correct prepositions. The reinforcement activity includes various cute bugs (I'm not a fan of the ugly ones). For every correct answer, glue or Velcro a bug around the net.

When I assemble the preposition activities, I print on card stock and laminate for durability. I separated the cards into two separate booklets (preposition vocab cards vs. fill-in-the-blank cards) and attached the cards using a hold punch a metal ring.

Where's the Bunny?

Since I had easy access to my template from Pot of Gold Prepositions, I decided to make a few more booklets. This book follows the same structure as the St. Patrick's day activity. There are 12 vocabulary cards, and 12 fill-in-the blank cards. These two different versions allow you to target objectives depending on your child's current skill level. This activity also includes a reinforcement game. For every correct answer, Velcro or glue the Easter egg into the basket.

Pot of Gold Prepositions

Before I get started, St. Patrick's day is right around the corner, so here is a quick roundup of the activities currently available on the TPT store:

Pot of Gold Prepositions

A few of my kids are working on prepositions and I just wanted to keep things fresh with some new activities. I made this St. Patrick’s Day activity to target key prepositions (over, under, on top, in front, next to, around, in the middle, behind, between, beside, out, in). There are 11 pages total which include:
Direction pages
12 vocabulary cards targeting prepositions
12 fill-in the blank cards (Once familiar with the vocabulary, children can fill in sentence forms with the correct preposition)
12 coins/empty pot (Use the coins and pot as a reinforcement activity. For every correct answer, glue or Velcro a gold coin on the pot)
