Who Eats?

My supervisor developed this activity to help children work on verb tense using structured sentence as well as “wh” questions.
Children who have trouble with grammar have a hard time using the correct verb tense.  She finds that if the child can learn the correct form in one verb, it is easier to transfer the tense marker to new verbs. In this activity, children use the verb "eats" over and over. It is a good way to introduce third person singular verb tense.

Materials include:
1. Directions
2. 12 animal pictures
3. 12 food pictures
4. Sentence Template

5. Expansion activities

The expansion activities give some wonderful ideas on different ways to use the activity.
